Cloud Cost Control
When cloud costs start to get out of hand, getting costs under control can seem like a daunting task.
Typical Engagement: I will spend a few weeks reviewing your stack and talking to your engineers to really understand your infrastructure. You’ll receive a document with recommendations on how to manage costs, and a proposal for an engagement to help implement those changes.

All too often, systems that seem great with ten users melt down with ten thousand users. You need your application to scale effectively with your userbase.
Typical Engagement: I will spend a few weeks reviewing your stack and talking to your engineers to really understand where your scaling challenges arise. You’ll receive a document outlining how to fix any current scalability issues, notes on what issues may be on the horizon, and a proposal for an engagement to optimize for growth.
Unrivaled Debugging Experience
All too often, when a tricky bug arises, teams will have application engineers pointing at database engineers, database engineers pointing at network engineers, network engineers pointing at systems engineers, and system engineers pointing back at application engineers. That’s where I come in.
Typical Engagement: I will work with your engineers to really understand your stack. We will work on getting visibility throughout the system to get to the bottom of what’s going on. Usually once the bug is understood, the fix becomes trivial for your team to implement. If it’s not, I can help with that too.
System Architecture Design
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If you want my experience when you’re designing your systems from the outset, I can help identify risks in your plans and give guidance on how to avoid them.
Typical Engagement: We can start with a consultation to understand the problem you’re trying to solve and how you plan to go about it. I can make recommendations during the consultation, or take more time to produce an in-depth proposal. From there, we can establish a retainer that gets you access to the experience you need on timelines that work for you.
